₹673 crore cancer-care plan; insurance up to ₹25 lakh

CM Vijay announced a health package in the Assembly. The Chief Minister’s Cancer Care Mission gets ₹673.44 crore, with a G+14 cancer block at Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, a regional centre in Madurai, new robotic and LINAC equipment, HPV DNA screening for 1.22 lakh women in five districts, and a 400-bed superspecialty hospital in Perambur. Annual cancer insurance cover rises from ₹5 lakh to ₹25 lakh.
