Chennai allocates ₹20 crore to repair city roads

🛣️ The Greater Chennai Corporation has allocated ₹20 crore to repair damaged roads across the city. Each of the 200 wards will get ₹5 lakh for pre-monsoon precautionary work, and the Commissioner has ordered 1,000 workers to be deployed on it. Six hundred tractors fitted with motors will be kept on standby to pump out rainwater, and a further ₹15 lakh has been set aside for electrical repairs.
