Milk procurement price up ₹3 a litre

CM Vijay announced under Rule 110 in the Assembly that the milk procurement price will rise from ₹38 to ₹41 a litre. Cooperative procurement goes up by ₹1 and the government incentive from ₹3 to ₹5. More than 3.16 lakh milk producers in 8,800 cooperatives will benefit. The hike will cost the state about ₹30 crore a month, or ₹360 crore a year.
