In the Tamil Nadu Budget 2026-27, the AI, IT and Digital Services department gets ₹398 crore. Plans include a Tamil Nadu AI Mission; AI use in health, agriculture, education, urban administration and citizen services; upgrading all e-Sevai centres to e-Sevai 2.0; expanding ‘Namma Arasu’ WhatsApp services from 76 to 275; launching the AI-enabled SPEED online project-approval platform; and ₹40 crore for faster project clearances.
