DMK Supports CM Vijay's Resolution
Udhayanidhi Stalin said DMK will not permit any reduction in Tamil Nadu’s number of MPs.
After Chief Minister Vijay introduced a separate Assembly resolution opposing constituency delimitation, Udhayanidhi Stalin outlined DMK’s position. He said DMK supported the resolution and would not permit any reduction in Tamil Nadu’s number of MPs. Delimitation should continue on the 1971 population basis without cutting the state’s 7.18% Lok Sabha share, he said, and reaffirmed DMK’s full support for 33% reservation for women.
