High Court questions denial of BJP rally
Madras HC criticised the Coimbatore Tricolour Yatra refusal, then allowed an alternate venue on August 18.
The Madras High Court criticised the State’s refusal to permit BJP’s Tricolour Flag Yatra in Coimbatore. Justice V. Lakshminarayanan orally questioned whether rallies were being selectively permitted for the ruling TVK. After BJP accepted an alternative venue, the court permitted the rally on August 18 between 4 pm and 7 pm.
