High Court orders Udhayanidhi released today after questioning

In a case over alleged defamatory and obscene remarks about the Chief Minister, Thanjavur police took Udhayanidhi Stalin for questioning. His side sought anticipatory bail in the Madras High Court citing possible arrest. The government told the court he was not arrested and would be released after questioning. Justice Ilanthiraiyan ordered that the probe be completed and he be released today; the court also said he must cooperate with the investigation.
