The Tamil Nadu Assembly had resolved to freeze Lok Sabha strength at 543. At the Southern Zonal Council, CM Vijay is reported to have said only that no state’s current share of representation should fall. That the Assembly resolution was not pressed in full with Amit Shah has raised the question: has the stance changed?
